At the Preston Shotokan Dojo we teach Shotokan Karate that originated in Okinawa and was introduced to Japan by Gichin Funakoshi. Shotokan Karate consists of low, wide stances with hard blocks and strikes. Our goal is to teach the physical and mental aspects of karate and self defense along with discipline, control and respect. We stress the importance of studying karate purely for self defense. Our objective is to have fun in a safe and controlled environment while learning the basic skills necessary to become a well rounded student of karate.

CLASS INFORMATION:

We accept ages 7 and up, including adults.

Classes are held every Wednesday of the month throughout the year.

Class times: 1st class - 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.   2nd class - 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
